About the Event
Who Tells Your Story?
Designed for 4th and 5th Grade Students
Using primary sources, students will learn about the lives of three separate groups who lived in Bristol Harbor– Indigenous, Settlers, and Enslaved. After investigating the history of the Bristol slave trade and the Pokanoket tribe, students will have an opportunity to try their hands at some of the practical skills and lessons imparted by 18th-century writers. This program is approximately 3 hours.
Students are $8 ea Adults are $10.50 ea
There is space for approx 40 students for this history lesson field trip. Ages 8 to 12 on average, but use your judgement based on description. If you know other parents with kids in this age group too, one parent/adult could attend with mulitple other children too.
There will be a self guided tour option for younger siblings if you need to being them with you also.
If you have a membership the chaperone/adult and younger siblings can attend free with membership. But student must pay student fee, regardless of membership.
